There is a beautiful
place in my town. That is a town square of Purworejo in Purworejo city. Town square
of Purworejo is the biggest town square in Center Java. The wide of the town
square is about 60.000 m2. A long time ago, town square must be a
symbol of a glory in its region, either it is a kingdom or a regency.
As many town in
Indonesia, surely there are many icon in its city. In Purworejo, the icon are Durian,
Manggis, Clorot, and also monument of Center Java is placed in the side of town
square to tell the people that it is an icon of Purworejo. And there are two of
banyan tree in the middle of town square that came from Yogyakarta Palace.
There are also some
play ground for kids and fitness center. Sometimes, when the society want to
show their performance, they can do it in the stage that served in north west
of town square. There is also a background of musical scale in its stage.
The town square of
Purworejo is surrounded by some important buildings. For examples like government
buildings, police station, mosque, clinic, market, and others. And also some historic buildings of Dutch heritage.
